Wow, it’s been a month since Party by the Pitch. What a day is it was. Thank you to everybody who came along and enjoyed the entertainment, from bouncy castles, to food, to the live music.

This was the first year that we had Chloe Kinrad’s school of dance kick off the proceedings with dance routines at 2. As you will all agree this was great to witness the passion and fun the children have doing something they enjoy and entertaining the large crowd that was there on the day.

We kicked off the music with J.S & The Lockerbillies, a two piece 50’s/ 60’s duo who entertained everybody with their ‘oversized guitar’. Hugely entertaining and a great way to start the afternoon main event.

We proceeded with Flaming Cheek, Ras Ziggy, and Raindance, keeping the crown entertained all afternoon and in to the early evening.

Our headlining band, Midnight Road took to the stage around half past 8, bringing a mass of support and with most people fairly inebriated it allowed them to take to the floor and dance the rest of the night away. Midnight Road were a massive hit and finished the night off beautifully by refusing to stop and keeping the people entertained for longer.

The day in total was a massive success, with a huge thanks going to everybody involved, Shawn Clarke, Chris Bayfield and Glenn Knights of SGC for supplying the PA system and sorting everything musical, All from Wickham Market FC & Wickham Market Youth FC, for their contribution of venue and supply of bar and BBQ allowed people to stay for longer.

We’re already planning for next year, with the same bank holiday weekend confirmed for Party by the Pitch 2018, make sure it’s in your diaries. Keep up to date with our progress by following our social media pages – Facebook & Instagram.

If you have been impressed with our event over the last couple of years and wish to get involved, we are looking for sponsors for the 2018 event. The sponsorship runs for 12 months and starts in February. If you would like to get involved, please email us at
